I got this awesome striped fabric out of my great-grandma's stash, so I have no idea how old it is.  But I thought it was adorable, so I drafted (MY FIRST TIME!!) a pattern for the halter top for my 15 month old daughter (isn't she gorgeous?   Grin).

The capris are made from some denim I picked up from Wal-Mart.  I also drafted these... that's why they are a teeny too short in the back (notice the dipe?) and are kind of wide through the legs.

Let me know what you guys think!  Smiley

Aaw! That is so cute, I want to make the exact same thing in big size for me! That's a great way of closing the top at the back without having to put in a zip!

Well done! She looks adorable!

Aww... thanks guys!  I think I'm going to make her a couple more of these outfits.  It was so easy!  I made bias tape out of the denim material from her capris to use on the top of the shirt so it's kind of like a set.

Right now I'm making a couple of little sundresses for her.  I'll be sure to post them as soon as I'm done.  One is going to be made of watermelon material and the other is "princess" material.  I get to try my hand (okay, sewing machine) at smocking (with elastic thread).  Eek!

Thanks again!  Smiley

great outfit! And I also love that she is wearing your great-granma's fabric too! When she outgrows it you should make a little tag saying where the fabric came from and when she wore it. It'd be a great keepsake and who knows how many more may find it in the future!

Thanks! I would *LOVE* to sell these.  I'm in the process of putting up a website with various baby/toddler things and other miscellaneous items.

What a wonderful idea!  I didn't even think of doing something like the tag or a keepsake!  This fabric is really special to me and I think my g-grandma would have been proud (she's in the final stages of Alzheimer's...).  Thanks for the idea!!
