Whew! I received from bookstorebabe on Friday but haven't had a chance to take and post pictures until tonight. She did awesomely with recycling materials!

Here is everything:

Here are the plant markers (recycled from the lid to a container for her recycling) and a rainbow maker, but I think this also might be good for keeping deer and hopefully rabbits away from my plants, so I think I am going to use it for that:

Next is a record bowl!, upcycled watering can (I really like the decoration from an Arizona Iced Tea container) and homemade laundry detergent! She also included alot of information about making your own. You can also see part of the blue and red shopping bag that she made me out of the fabric from an old umbrella! Which was really smart!

The last handmade item was this decorated pot for growing my own ginger! And some ginger root, which got a little moldy on the trip so I have to read if I can still use it  Undecided

She also sent me some reusable open weave burlap-type fabric bags, which I think would be awesome for hunting morels, which I've done a few times this year!

Thanks Linda!

Aw, I'm sorry the ginger didn't make it. I bought that chunk for less than 2 dollars at the health food store, and I've also seen it at kroger. If you can't get it where you live, I'll get you some more.
Here's two links I found on growing and using it, I forgot to give you those.

I hope the vinyl disk was already broken, otherwise I'd have to call you 'music murderer'.
Just kidding, it's nice ^^

I am going to post the pics of what my crazyda79 received on Thursday:

First is the dry erase fridge list I made to help keep track of perishables that tend to get lost in the shuffle of the refrigerator

Next I made a set of 8 (only hung 3 up for the pic) lemon/lemonade themed cloth napkins for the summer theme.  crazyda79 said that her family has been using cloth napkins for awhile so I thought I would send her a fun set to use in the summer time.

Next is a lunch mat with silverware pockets, I intended for it to be a roll up, but forgot to sew in a ribbon to tie it closed with  Shocked

I made a set of 3 wool dryer balls (which I am totally going to have to make for myself!) I started the felting process by drying them with some fabric I was pre-washing.

And last I added in a tub of homemade "flubber" for the kids.  The container shown wouldn't fit in the box, so I transferred it to a smaller bright pink container  Cheesy

I hope you enjoy everything as much as I enjoyed making them for you!

Hee, I know what you mean, I still have some treasured old vinyl. And something to play it on, even. Heck, my sis and I would play with my mom's old victrola when we were little, it was such fun winding it up and playing the old foxtrots and stuff.
But the record bowl? I rescued a giant box of old albums someone put out for junk day-minutes ahead of both rain and city truck. Old, missing the sleeves. I scrubbed them all thoroughly, never fear! They were stacked neatly in a box, no yucky stuff at all, just someone tossing out their collection.  But they were on their way to oblivion anyway, so I don't feel guilty about crafting with them.
I admit, I have been know to snag old vinyl at Goodwill if it has a nifty sleeve-one of these days I'll make record purses. And also from the used book and music store, when vinyl's been marked down to almost nothing. Because it's scratched, or stuff that no one will buy, and the store was going to get rid of it to make room.
So, am I downgraded from murderer?  Cheesy

That board is an excellent idea! Really, really great! I'm so good at being green in many aspects of daily life, but I fail miserably at using/eating perishables in the fridge. I feel so horrible whenever I purge mold food that would have fed us a decent meal Sad Wouldn't it be great if they made fridge doors see-through? It would keep me motivated to have the fridge clean and organized and that alone would help me work my way through leftovers more efficiently!
