Made it to the post office today and sent out my hoop! It is a darn good thing I finished it when I did. I seriously did not think I would go into labor this early. I keep reeling at the fact that I'm not pregnant anymore and I'm kind of sad to say goodbye to my maternity clothes. But our little guy is such a doll, he's totally worth it and we're stoked he's here, early bird and all.

Now to find my embroidery kit... it has gotten lost between the time I finished the hoop and now... I have a feeling I "put it away" when I was frantically nesting but have no idea where it went!

I've finished stitching the main design, but the hoopla doesn't look finished yet. . .  Maybe add some buttons, paint/tint, stitch a background, or any combo thereof.

The plastic, wood, and wood-tone frame type hoops are all available from Joann Fabrics - you can hit the "Shop" button (on the ruler header strip) to connect through Craftster!

I start stitching tomorrow, finally!!!! Whew.  At least I have the design finalized, all supplies, and lots of non-work days this week to get it all finished.  Grin

Tonight's goal is to finish one of my hoops while watching Chuck! Then hoop #2 will get started next week once I get through this gauntlet of crafter's hell I created for myself. (I.E. The 4 year old's mermaid and pirate bday party that "requires" me to make 8 mermaid tails and a bunch of snack bags for favors. I often ask myself why I attempt to be super crafty mom. It seems more relaxing to just embroider the week away.....)

Seeking scraps! I'm in need of a variety of white on white scraps. (2.5inch square minimum) for pixel quilts. Have any? Swap for? PM me! Smiley

Ohhhhh... I love crafty projects that require man skills Smiley. I'm constantly inlisting Mr. Lime's help - mostly because I'm really prissy when it comes to power tools.

Excited to see that we've had some recent senders. More to love in the gallery!

I'm done. The front looks great, the back looks not so good. I think I'm going to run with it anyway, afterall, it will be hanging on a wall and no one will actually see the back right? Huh We don't all have to do double sided wonders right? Should get it packaged and in the post tomorrow.
