I have a huge meeting for work that is 2 hours away on Wednesday, but I'm so excited that I have the whole day off on Thursday and will have the house ALL to myself!!  I plan on doing as much as I can then.

Favorite stitch for me is the chain stitch, but I also really like the way satin stitch looks. Mostly just satin in small areas. there are TONS of stitched I haven't tried though, which is why I am going for the idea that I am for DearBluebird's hoops. I found this reference online today and am planning on trying a bunch of the stitches! Woo! Learning experiences! And if I don't like how it comes out, I can always ditch it for swapping and just be happy that I learned some new stitches, right?

Just restarted my hoop. I wasnt 'feeling' the back stitch so I changed to split stitch, AND Ive added some fly stitches (fancy  Wink ) and a few french knots, plus Im planning either satin or long/short stitch. All on one hoop  Cheesy well, I did say I wanted to try something different! I just hope I have enough time! We are off to the city for a 30th Super Hero birthday this weekend, should be interesting  Cheesy

fly stitches are fun! Oh maybe I'll use some of them! I used them to border my bloody horse head tea cozy awhile back and they were very fun. I've been wanting to use them again but couldn't figure out how. I think I just got an idea! moo ha ha!

I haven't started either hoop yet  Cry  My intention to work on them last weekend was shot because I helped my brother build some stuff for my mom(who wasn't supposed to be home for Mother's Day) as a surprise. Then Sunday, which was going to be my "me" day, was spent with my mom. Can't say it was a day wasted, but, you know. I have to finish packing up the bunny room tomorrow, but I think I can finally start on Wednesday with my stitching. I know I still have a few weeks, but it's odd how fast the days fly by when you're not looking!

I've been perusing several Hooplas on pinterest and totally caved. I sent my name in for an invite. I might be poking a couple of you to help me figure this thing out. I love the virtual hoopla walls that I've seen so far. Cheesy

Well I was going to send last night but the mailing center at my local CVS shut down last week! So weird! So I'll be sending Friday when I can get to the Post Office during business hours.
