i am not very familiar with resin but this craft looks so awesome i feel the need to recreate it- do you(or does anyone) know anything about resin- how do you dry it/do you have to cook it/if so can you do that sort of thing at home?/ can i get resin at my local craft store. ee i need to start some resin crafts i've seen so many that look fun

i cannot find the right resin for crafts anywhere- we had some for metal or something called polyester fiberglass resin but  i tried drying it out in an ice cube tray and it did not work- was still gooeyish after 5 days, and yellow -ewie. where do you resin masters aquire your materials? and like olive said- cheap =)

I almost bought something like this Wednesday at a thrift store. It was made with resin and glass except the glass was put so it looked like a frog sitting beside some weeds and a fly was flying over the frog. It was quite neat.

That is so cool!  I just  LOVE yardsales.  You have to be careful with resin, it's highly toxic when you're working with it.  Your best bet is to work outside or in a extemely well venilated area.

weee i finally found resin - they just opened up a micheals down the street - the stuff is called castin'craft casting resin in a blue and white can for $18.00- be sure to get the hardener/catalyst too =) and i'm off to make resin magic!   Grin
