I lost my camera strap a while back (no big loss, it was just the ugly black nylon kind) and decided today would be a good day to make a new one! I used Caron Party Yarn and basically did two rows of HDC with an I hook and added a flower detail using this pattern: http://www.crochetspot.com/crochet-pattern-simple-six-petal-flower/

And a close up of the flower:

The acrylic is really lightweight and soft, and the strap is a great length. Thanks for looking!

"You cut up a thing that's alive and beautiful to find out how it's alive and why it's beautiful, and before you know it, it's neither of those things, and you're standing there with blood on your face and tears in your sight and only the terrible ache of guilt to show for it."

Pretty, simple and functional.   I like the addition of the flower.

I bet you have the fanciest camera strap of everyone in your neighborhood.  This is super cute!

my boyfriend and I collect cameras we have almost 20+ and I've been meaning to make up some camera straps my only problem is that some of our slr's are very heavy so i don't want to have yarn digging into my neck you know? but this is a very great idea, thanks for sharing.
