Thanks, gotgrey! Smiley

(What's the "grey" you have, I'm wondering?!)

Up until four years ago now, I was blessed w/a wonderful greyhound named, George.  Instead of the phrase, "Got Milk?"  I came up with, "Got Grey?"  As in, greyhounds.  Wink  George was my heart and soul dog, my best friend.  I feel as though, gotgrey honors his memory.  My avatar is a pic of him.

Wow, that's great.  I love the shape you gave him.

What ages do you think ISpy bags are best for?

beatofadragon, thanks! He's filled with "poly-pellets," and I bought them at Hancock Fabrics. They're little dots of plastic.

kjlutz, thanks!  I've read that they're best for kids 3-8, especially for sit-quietly playtimes (church, travel, etc.) The giraffe I'm getting ready to make is for this child's 2-year-old sister, not because I think she'll be able to do it, but because it would be a disaster to send one to her brother and not one for her! Wink

oh I've seen similar things like these. We had a company come to do a training for  us at work and they had sets of these for the Alphabet. $154.00!! We were all looking at them trying to figure out how to make them on our own.

You did an AWESOME job!

Holy Cow. $154.00? I think I missed my calling!!!

You should try your own, chattyKathi. The square or round ones might be quite easy, once you gather all the little bits. Google "i-spy bag tutorial," and you'll see the basics. (I can never leave well enough alone and must always make things hard on myself, though!)

After I finish the two I'm working on right now--since I've already spent countless hours photographing and using Paint to clean up images I'm not about to change them just because I've had a new idea--I'm going to use Sculpey to make my own little things to match a friend's child's favorite characters/book.
