So, I recently bought an older machine (so old, the only "stitch" it has is the zigzag!), and while it sews wonderfully on nonstretch fabric, on stretch fabric, it constantly bunches up underneath the fabric.

I've tried adjusting the tension, but I haven't had any luck.

Does anyone have a suggestion? Is it just the machine??

Maybe its the needle?
Or the thread...
Does it have a manual?
What kind of machine is it?

I've tried changing the needle, rethreading... But no luck.
It didn't come with a manuel, either >.<

The only "name" on it is "Le ZigZag." I've googled it and got very few results...

Would a walking foot help? I have had several people tell me that a walking foot works wonders when sewing with knit fabric! And if that doesn't work..... I'm out of ideas, sorry!!!

Use a ball point needle.  That will help.  Adjust the pressure on the presser foot.  Less pressure might help.

I have several sewing machines, one being so old that it doesn't even have zig-zag...just straight stitch...

The newest is a serger and might be the type you want to test out if you plan on sewing lots of stretch fabrics...
