The idea hit me yesterday while I was taking my last break at work. I wish I'd thought of it sooner Smiley I wanted to express my love for japan in a crafty way and help the earthquake/tsunami efforts by donating 50% of each pillow sale to the Japanese Red Cross. This is how it turned out.

I drafted a heart and rising sun style design on muslin, then traced it onto red fleece. I cut it all out, laid it over white fleece and sewed it on.

The back is envelope style.

I really like how it came out. The red design has a slight 3D effect from the fleece on fleece. I may have to figure out how to screen print these onto a t shirt.

I love this! You did a great job with the pillow and the design is beautiful. If you ever put in on a shirt, I would love to see it and would totally purchase one.

The yudu screen printers are on sale at michael's this week. Unfortunately, they're out of stock at my store but fortunately, they offered me a raincheck Smiley when I pick one up, I'll be offering this design on tshirts and tote bags with 50% of the proceeds going to the japanese red cross. Even if you're not interested in buying one, please PM me and let me know what style of t-shirt you prefer. I'm at a loss on which ones to buy lol
