knitted/crochet squares

Has anyone ever done a swap of squares that are knitted/crocheted to be made into a blanket, afghan, etc? I think it would be an interesting and semi-quick swap.

The link below is for a new swap theme idea: 'Granny' squares. It was started a month or two ago. From the posts it looks like sign ups might be starting in mid April.    I'm not sure if knitted squares would be acepted or not but you could post and ask.
