I got my package from Mod35tbabe today too!

It's 'Annie B!' I needled Stef into making this doll for me...no pun intended. So cute!

Here are some detail shots of her cute tiny jewelry and headpiece:

Jeweled hairclips and Anne Boleyn-style necklace (gotta find that missing gem!)

Lovely papercrafted art

Extras: cool foil iron-ons and lovely Australia postcard.

Thanks, partner! I had fun swapping with you Smiley

Here are a few extra shots of some of the items I sent to Stef.

Inside of the shadowbox--it's actually a wooden book.

Jewelry

Corset

This was a fun swap. Thanks for hosting, Pixie!

Damn that gem falling off Sad Glad to see Annie B arrived in good health. Anne Boleyn would probably not be thrilled her mini look-a-like has been dubbed Annie B by me, but I think Annie B rather suits her lol.
The Queen Elizabeth almost didn't happen - I had to cut out the skirt and re-draw bits, including her hand, because I stuffed up the stamping and stamped in the wrong place! She worked out in the end though, I rather liked that effort.
Thank you for posting that pic of the inside of the shadow box - knowing me I'd have forgotten all about it and now I don't even need to worry.
A big thank you to Pixie for hosting such a lovely, fun-filled swap, thank you!

Wow, great stuff! I especially like the Elizabeth I card and the shadowbox-book.

I didn't do the calligraphy in the recipe book myself; I found a free font online which does a very good imitation of Elizabethan writing. And yes, the violet pastilles do taste like violets. (I've heard that the entire French town where they're made smells of violets!)

Here's the beautiful stuff Badpuppy made for me. They couldn't be more perfect - it's like she read my mind!

First off, a truly luxurious period shirt. It's made of soft, cool linen, with very authentic-looking braid around the neckband and perfect pearl buttons. (I haven't tried to take an overall shot as it would just be a white blob.) All the seams are finished inside, and it's a joy to wear. A bit wide in the shoulders, but easy to alter. And I like the fact that it fits quite loosely - the period shirts that I've made for myself are rather on the small size, so this is perfect.

Then this great Tudor cap, made of black dupioni silk with a white peacock feather  Cheesy and a white pearl-trimmed braid decoration. Fully lined and a perfect fit. (Which is always such a pleasant surprise, as I've got a big head and hats usually don't fit me!)

Action shot. The sleeves aren't really different lengths - I basted up the shoulders to see how it would look when it was altered, and I think I took one in a bit farther than the other. (Also I'm probably standing lopsided.)

And finally, these three cloth baskets! They're sewn of gold damask fabric, with off-white linen lining. A clever and simple design, and I love them a lot! They're so beautiful and practical, I haven't decided what I'll keep in them. It'll have to be something very special. Also in this picture is the very appropriate sealed letter that badpuppy sent in the package. Not shown is the great glittery tissue it was wrapped in. (Which was revealed in the daylight this morning to have shed glitter all over the sofa. I think I'll enjoy it for a while before I vacuum it up!)

Thanks for this wonderful package. I've been so spoiled!

Wulf
