My mum bought me a bag of plain barrettes for my birthday. I've just completed these two:



They're done in square stitch to my own design. Unfortunately the purple beads don't show up well in the photo.

(The best bit is the fact that I've still another 8 clips left to design & make  Smiley)

I wove no.11 seed beads together with a stitch called square stitch.
Then I sewed a piece of felt to the back of the beads that is the length and width of the clip.
All that was left to do then was to sew the felt backing on to the clip using the holes provided.
