Thanks for the great pattern - here is my little one wearing it - funny how it will actually fit me as well - it really depends on how you want it to look.
Love it!!!!

The hat is cute, and the model is even cuter!  Those are some great kissin' and squeezin' cheeks!

Thanks so much for creating this wonderful hat and sharing with everyone here!  I've made so many of these now in a million different colors for many of my loved ones...it is a very popular hat!  And because of you, I've kept my family and friends warm during these very cold winter days/nights here in northwest Arkansas!  This is a lovely hat, thanks again!

Oh, and I'm curious...does anyone have any tips on how to keep your poms intact...?  I've made a few of these for young children and they rip those poms apart!  Would super glue help at the knot in the middle maybe??  Not sure...thanks for the help!

Can someone please help me figure out what I'm doing wrong? I've tried this pattern in a variety of yarns and hook sizes, starting with exactly what the OP used, and I still get this weird boat/fan shape. :'[ I'm getting frustrated.

This is with Vanna's Choice and an I hook.
Thanks for any help, I'd love to have a hat like this before it gets warm.

I'm not entirely sure, but it looks like you kept increasing the number of stitches per row after it was wide enough. Where the ribbing starts is where you should stop increasing. Are you maybe making an fpdc and a bpdc in the same stitch, rather than alternating between fpdc and bpdc around?

It may be huge, but your stitches are nice and neat.  Wink

Thanks! I've been crocheting for like 10 years but have never expanded my stitch vocabulary lol So I think you've nailed my problem cos that's what I've been doing. I've never met a pattern I couldn't figure out after a try or two so I was getting extremely frustrated. The good part is, I've tried this pattern so many times now that I have fpdc and bpdc perfected. :] Thanks again!

Ravelry said this pattern is available for free.  When I click on the link, it takes me here, but I can't find the pattern.  Can someone help?  Thanks.
