I hope this is in the right spot...

I bought a dress form from a friend for 30$
now it is on a metal stand.
there are a few rips in the material and i was wondering if anyone knew how i could easily recover it,
or of a layer of duct tape on it would be ok ?

while I love my duct tape doubles! you can't stick pins in them because the pins get sticky from the glue...

however, you certainly could wrap it in duct tape.

but..... using fusible interfacing, cutting it and laying it over the form, spray it with water and iron it onto your form!

now if you are interested in padding the form up to fit your measurements, use COTTON!!! batting and thread, start padding where it is needed. use the thread to hold it in place by wrapping the thread around the form. Then iron on the fusible interfacing.

$30.00 was a steal!

I altered mine first, then made a new cover.
I used a very basic shift pattern and pinned it inside out.

and the full process here:
