Hello everyone, more great hoops I love the Tennant/Ten one with the light up screwdriver.

My hoop arrived from SailorGirlBonk today, and it is cute

I'd said that one of my favourite scenes was Eleven arriving with Amelia, and having Fishfingers & Custard, so SailorGirlBonk stitched it for me. It is now hanging proudly on my wall, between the bookcase with my Doctor Who DVDs and framed limited edition postcards from the Series 5 box set. Thank you SailorGirlBonk

Nope, feedback will happen once everyone has recieved. CursiveQueen, EdenKitty is actually my sister/roommate, and I can tell you she cherishes her hoop! We both had fun sticking it up to the light and then making it glow. Pictures posted are great, but I can tell everyone will get excellent feedback from this swap. You guys have made me love being an organizer!

As SailorGirlBonk is a bit busy at the mo, I'm posting pics of the Whoop I sent her.

When SailorGirlBonk said she loved Eleven, and enjoyed the 'Vincent and the Doctor' episode, I knew exactly what I wanted to stitch for her - "The Pandorica Opens", from the series finale.

I've always toyed with the idea of stitching up a Van Gogh picture, and this was the perfect opportunity. The background is dark blue velvet, because as Vincent says, the sky isn't dark and black and without character, it's deep blue!  I did lots of seed stitches on it, to incorporate it and create a midground.

The middle of the explosion is long and short stitch/soft shading, very directional, with lots of colour blending - I really enjoyed playing with the colours. As well as yellow and orange, there's brown, and flecks of pink and green. I had the picture as my desktop wallpaper at work, and just kept looking at it while I stitched away at lunches, and had it on my phone to refer to. I did it all freehand, no tracing or outlines, and I don't think it's an exact copy of the prop, more my take on it, but it's a pretty faithful interpretation.

The TARDIS is felt, with a paper door sign, which was a pest to stitch because it is so tiny!
