LOL! I seriously thought about decorating my box all timey wimey but the people at the post office here already don't like me. They get mad at me for getting my money's worth out of flat rate boxes (it may be stuffed to the brim but hey, I made the top close and that's the only rule) and I may have gotten into a yelling match with the one lady a while back when she was insisting the England was a country, you work at the freaking post office lady, its your job to know where things are, the country is called the UK NOT  England! Oh and then last week I was mailing bath salts and somehow the lavender scent coming out of the box meant that it was a bomb or something and I got the third degree on that one. So yeah I figured that they might get even more pissed at me if I decorated the box and I don't want them to stop delivering my mail out of spite  Tongue

ivoryh1632 that is too funny! i was super worried cause this is the first time i've decorated a box i sent, and i'm new to the whole process. i was worried she'd read the side and accuse me of being a terrorist, lol. but seriously, her face was PRICELESS. it was so hard not to laugh. in my head i was like, "yeah, maybe if more americans watched british programming then our humor would be more witty and less raunchy and you'd understand what was on the outside of that box and know who Matt Smith, David Tennant, and Christopher Ecclestein are, and we'd all be more generally awesome." .... i have a quick thought process.

Lol, I have that thought a lot. I have the TARDIS landing/take off sound as my text alert on my phone and you have no idea how many times I've had to explain to people its not an angry cat and then give them pretty much that speach you just said

The last time I sent a swap package I ended up having a ten-minute conversation about Craftster and swaps and everything that was inside it...and it wasn't even a decorated box so goodness knows what will happen this time.

Ivoryh, your post office trips sound so stressful, I really feel for you! I should say though...it gets a bit confusing, but England is a country. As is the UK! (It's a very different arrangement to the US...) Just so you know if you come and visit - best not to suggest that England, Scotland etc aren't all countries.  Smiley

My post office trips are stressful. There's one post office in about a 20 mile radius, and even though they have an automated machine noone ever uses it so there's always a line going across the building with one one person working. Thanks for the correction though, I was always told that the UK is the only actual country and the rest are just nations within the country and its all a technical thing and then there's some tiny difference between Britian and the UK that I can never understand. But I definatley know better than to say anything about any of it to someone from the UK just like I know better than to try and guess where an accent's from  Wink  and I do plan on coming and visiting someday so maybe I'll be able to get it all straight then. But what I forgot to mention when I was trying to mail that package was that it was  a return from something I'd ordered online and the mailing address was already printed out from the company and said UK on it and the post office lady was still arguing that I needed to change the address to England, because ya know why would the company know their own address.

Oh and actually now that I think about it I'm really glad you corrected me because this a-hole guy I kinda dated for a while is the one that told me England's not a country. He liked to think that he knew everything about England and Scottland because his mom was Welsh and he went to London for 2 days. So its nice to know he was wrong.  Grin
