Hopefully neither mine nor Wulf's get stuck in customs too long - I can't wait!
I know, the wait is driving me crazy!

I love the way "decorate a matchbox" has turned into "hide a matchbox"! So many brilliant interpretations of a basic idea, and the stuff inside is just as fabulous. (How tiny is that fox, anyway?) Microjivvy, I know that for you, this is working in large scale, but those tiny hinges made my eyes pop out! Shocked

Microjivvy, you have miniaturizing super powers. Amazing. That's all I have to say.

I got my matchbox from CamOovas on Saturday, but due to dead camera batteries, have only just posted.
Thank you CamOovas for my cool graveyard box!

I really like the wee poeple and the polyclay (?) citrus slices.
Thanks again!

My jaw dropped to the floor several pages back.  This is the most amazing gallery I've seen yet!  I couldn't even begin to pick some favorites.  I feel like every single one of these artists should take a bow!

my turn! i rec'd from smushisweetbaboo days ago but finally got a chance to post.
she represented many of my themes including: sewing, rockabilly, music and pin ups!

love all the sewing ephemera on the box and all the tiny treasures like the guitar, the inchies, and the pinup on the needle threader but my fave is the rubber chicken!
not many things make me happier than a tiny rubber chicken!!!
thanks so much again smushi!

Heyo!

USPS says my partner recieved a couple days ago, I hope she won't mind if I post a couple pictures!

Nostephot listed one of her likes as Pride and Prejudice...so I sort of ran with that. I love the romantic idea of writing letters and that was my focus with this matchbox!

This was my first attempt at book carving...and I might have made quite a mess with it. Though after some quick fixes, in the end, it didn't turn out too shabby! Lined the bottom with some felt and painted the sides et voila! Good to go. I included all sorts of random whimsies, there's some in the matchbox too.

I didn't want to waste the matches and I couldn't think of a clever way to store and save them, so I had a go at making my own matchbox. This was the second attempt. It's a tad smaller than your average matchbox, I just couldn't seem to make my lines clean and had to keep trimming! There's a wax seal under the woman, holding the string in place.

And I packaged it all up in an old fashioned way, even with my own initial in the wax seal  Cheesy

I hope you enjoyed it, Nostephot!
