I love the fact that the books just keep getting smaller! Can we see a close-up of the blue one, Racky?

Sure. Here you go. The pages are blank, so I guess I'd better get started on the great American novel.  Cheesy

You're going to need a teeny pencil for that!

okay so here is the wonderfullness that curiousfae sent!!! Cheesy

First off, I had forgotten that I'd put Neil Gaiman/Amanda Palmer as a theme I'd like so I was super stoked to see this (yeah, I squealed):

Then, I was delighted to discover the box's innards:

Packed:

Unpacked:

And I squealed again when I saw the inside (caution: swear word involved):

Seriously awesome!!! I am going to turn both the cover and the inner box into magnets so I can see them all the time, and I totally have plans for my goodies, where were UHMAZINGly dead on for my crafting purposes. Cheesy Thank you so much, curiousfae!!!! I only hope mine is an adequate trade!

Soooo...here are pics of the unfortunately destroyed matchbox I sent Sarad. Sad RIP!

and the stuff I stuffed inside:

The tattoo swallow was handdrawn as an homage to her and her boyfriend's pet name for each other: 'bird' and the owl pendant was an image transferred on a shell pendant that I made. I also made the earrings. Hopefully they survived!

I got the coolest box from burntsmore today!  She stalked me really really well. I got a vine tendrils box:

I loooooove vine tendrils and collect them. I think they are one of the prettiest things that Nature makes.  a shot of the back:

some of the vines are hanging on to pearl beads - so cute!
the insides-

I love the little handle.
the loot -

My faves are the wee birdie house and the tiny shell and the bunnies.  and the fishie.
thanks so much, burntsmore. you sure got me down to a tee.  I love it all

I love the boxes in this gallery!

The monster is amazing! Suereal, what medium was used? Polymer Clay? I'm always so interested how people make their creations!

I also love the Gnome box! haha, did you notice that the handmade stamps were used in decorating the outside of the box? LOVE IT!

As for the Butterfly box, oh my so amazing! I love how the trinkets fit so well with the theme, thats an art within itself!

OH OH OH! And I cant forget the winged box. LOVE THE COLORS!

Whew. I wont forget the suitcases.... GENUIS! They are all so amazing. Good work fellow crafters. I really enjoy seeing all the wonderful ideas! Keep it up!

Thanks so much for all the nice words towards my wee monsterbox.  Yes, it's poly clay.  I made a paper matchbox, covered it with foil, leaving a "tail" of foil sticking out of what would be the mouth.  Then I formed the beasty around that.  After baking it, I gently pulled the foil box out of it's "mouth".  I used the drawer from the same template, re enforced it with aluminium tape, then glued the teeth on to the front of the drawer.  I loaded on lots of paint to make "gums" and ensure it was glued on as well as possible.  To be honest, I wasn't expecting it to work LOL.

The whole gallery is WICKED!  I love the little suit cases, and the tendrile box, and the framed butterfly one, and the wee gnome one, and so many others it's hard to remember LOL.  Nice job everyone Grin

I keep looking at all the left over matchboxes I have and I think, "how did they come up with that?" All the boxes are so amazing. Suitcases, monsters, pandas, vines.....how? I would have never thought of them. Love them all!
