Matchbox Swap round 5 Gallery

Received from Cinnamoon today Lots of cuteness! No sooner had I snapped some pics than the earrings went into my ears where they have stayed for the 6 hours since then:P
Here is a pic of the pretty box with adorable teeny button flowers on it, plus all the innards.

Here is a closer pic of the contents!

My faves are the earrings, the beautiful tree (which may end up as an ornament in one of my 1/12 scale dollhouse rooms), and the glass birdhouse bead. Although that sticker is pretty darned cute too, and so is the bone charm, and the crayon button... Obviously I love everything!

I got my matchboxes this last weekend and they are both AMAZING!!!

I took pics with my camera 2 days ago, but still can't find the cable to connect it to my computer, so I had to resort to using my camera phone, but here they are!

I just think it's very funny that at least three of us had the same idea of turning the matchbox into a suitcase! Mine came when someone commented that an early box in the Gallery (can't remember which one) reminded her of the inside of an antique suitcase. And that reminded me that I have a piece of art deco lining paper from a 1930's trunk that I've hoarding. (It's the paper lining the matchbox suitcase.) The rest just followed from what materials were available in my stash.

My new favourites in this Gallery (and it changes with each new page!) are the Japanese ones. Swap Envy!   And thanks Teachart for introducing us to Marcel Dzama. How can I have missed him?

Thank you soooo much hgddm for uploading fabulous photos of my even-more-fabulous and incredibly tiny bookbox!! I accidentally packed my camera cord, and have only now unearthed it... so now, more pictures  

My Hufflepuff-themed matchbox... Diminutive Book of Diminutivity


Imagine my surprise when I opened my book and a KEY flew out!


Shiny beautiful everything, packed away so neatly (the key needed to stretch its wings after being cramped up for so long)


A Hufflepuff treasure trove! House pride earrings, Luna's shimmering patronus pin, and my very own Helga Hufflepuff golden cup (I'd always imagined it as a teacup!)


Everything together with my note from hgddm. This was a lovely first swap for me, and so much fun!
