Added: a new pic farther down the page!

Oh those carefree Friday nights of yore, clustered around the TV with the rest of the neighborhood kids, just waiting for the Dukes of Hazzard theme song to start.

I even had a little die-cast model of the General Lee back then, banged up over time into a rather chipped-paint state from letting it fly over the floors and into walls and such. Hey, that thing was fast.

This one won't smash up so easily though Smiley

He's about 10.5" long, acrylic felt and polyfill. It took quite a while to puzzle out the geometry, but I love how he turned out.

And here he is meeting the '67 Chevy Impala from Supernatural and my beloved Bugatti Veyron 16.4 (who's had a bit more detailing added since I posted about it here).

Now no racing in the house, guys!

Fantastic! I was obsessed with the Dukes of Hazzard when I was little -- I can't believe you made the car out of felt. Cheesy Great job!

I am not a big fan of the movie, however, those cars are GREAT!

Thanks everyone! I'd nearly thought for a while there that I was done with making plushes (this was my first new design since 2009) so I really appreciate all the nice comments  Smiley

I was just thinking about making manly stuffed toys. My car-crazy 2 year old gave this the thumbs up!

Yes, I am stalking the Toys and Playthings board. Thanks for noticing!
I'm cheating on Craftster with Pinterest. It's ok though. There's overlap.

IceWhisper, I've seen a few scenes from the movie and it's really not for me, but that's all right, we'll always have the show :-)

Tropic_Rose, I was just saying to someone last night that plush may not be the most manly thing in the world, but if anyone can pull it off it's the General! And tell your little one "thanks" for the thumbs-up.

I will repeat what I wrote in the comment box when I selected the "This Rocks" button: This may be the coolest plushy I have ever seen in my life. On a slightly unwelcome note, though- when I saw the action shot, I got the sound of the General Lee's horn playing, "Dixie" in my head and now it won't leave...
