Floral Sandals for cheap!

First of all, a sneak peak:



So basically, I came across these really cute sandals from ModCloth.



Unfortunately, they are $94.99 and there was no way I would ever pay that much money for shoes, let alone sandals. So I pouted and went about my day.

A little while later I was walking through Wal-Mart when I spotted these brown sandals for $10.



That's when I got my brilliant idea! I bought the sandals and went to Michael's and purchased some light pink fake flowers for $3.99 (on sale).



I got out my E6000 and glued those babies on! And now I have my own little DIY version of those super cute sandals. (I totally hate my feet, but I'll post the photo, anyway.  )



So, not difficult at all, but I'm still proud of them.

I made another pair. These sandals were also from Wal-Mart but varied slightly from the ones above. I forgot the before pic, though.  I used large hot pink fake flowers for these.






They are kind of goofy, but I think they'd look cute if I wore them to the beach or somethin'.

Such a pretty outcome!  I've been wanting to do something like that, too.  So many shoes are ugly these days...  They need flowers to cheer them up.  ^_^

Thank you!  I just started venturing into "nail art" and I'm not really good at it, either. But the strawberries are easy. I just paint the entire nail red, then I use my green Stripe Rite (it has a really tiny brush... I got it at Sally's) to do the stem. Then I dip a toothpick in yellow polish to make the polka dots. The first time I did it, it didn't look that great, but I'm slowly getting better.

I made another pair tonight. I had a different pair of Wal-Mart sandals in my closet from last year. I used really big hot pink flowers this time. They're kinda goofy, but I like 'em. I'll add a picture later.
