Mosaic friend of mine Cindi introduced me to Zentanlges I've been playing with them. It is about the only thing I can do since my spinal surgery February 28th. Got quite a few (about 50) done in my drawing pad.

So I was going to one of those paint your own pottery places for a fundraiser, and I decided to try to Zentangle on pottery. It worked!

This is the drawing:

The lettering spells "Pesach" which means Passover.

The plate:

Wish I had gone over the red once more, but I still like it.

The shape of the plate is so pretty:

It was fun being able to create something since my surgery. Think I will try to do some mosaic work soon. If my hubby doesn't catch me. Wink

Thank you Cindi for introducing me to Zentangling!!!

I'd never heard of zentangling before so I googled it.  I love the idea of this abstract, flowing technique and can't wait for a chance to try it out.  Thank you for introducing me to this!

I'd never heard of Zentangling before either, facinating! Really like all the intricate patternwork.

Wow, did you bring back memories!!!  30 years ago, I had spinal surgery and then 5 months in a body cast.  The best I could do was flop around looking like an overturned turtle.  I made a ton of zentangles as I lay on my back for those 5 months.  Didn't call them zantangles back then though.

I'm pretty sure I kept those somewhere to respect that whole time.

I love the plate!

Wow! No body cast for me, just a chair back brace and walker. Hope the end of the month I will be rid of both, and that will bring me to the 8 week post surgery mark.

Zentangles are a relatively new name but everyone has doodled before! Smiley
