Rockin' the baubles all around town...

I had seen a post in this category about a button cuff bracelet ages ago, and added it to my 50 projects list for this year because I LOVED the look of it.  I love blues, especially aqua, turquoise, and teal, so this is what I came up with:

The top part is black twill, reinforced with fusible interfacing so it wouldn't 'bubble' when I stitched on all the buttons.  Backing is another piece of the same black twill, no interfacing.  I finished the edges with a blanket stitch over the serging I did to sew the top to the backing.  I think I will go with Velcro as a closure on the next ones I make, as the elastic loops can cause the underside of the cuff to become uneven depending on which buttons you attach them to.

C&C welcome!

This is great! Love the colors, and I like how the edging stitch stands out against the background. Great job!

Smiley  So pretty!  I have a big (okay HUGE) button collection.  I love seeing how others use buttons in such creative ways.  The blue edging is a great touch too!!!

Thanks so much!  Yeah, I thought the edges needed a little help, the black on black serged edge just wasn't doing it for me!  I love how it came out with the blanket stitch.

I love this!  I actually have made several of these in every color you can imagine.  I used felt for mine and after giving one to my daughter, I was not happy with the look of the felt after a little wear.  The fabric you used looks much better for this sort of thing.  Thanks for sharing!
