I have been awesomely angel-ed twice, and hope to some day angel for someone else to return the karma. However, every time I see an angel call that I could fulfill, I'm always too late. I'm wondering if it's acceptable to throw my name in the hat BEFORE an angel is actually needed (i.e. pm a host of a swap I could do good things for, and say I'd be an angel if she ends up needing one down the road), or if that's considered a no-no. Is this done, or are hosts required to publicly post for angels?

You certainly may offer your services up to an organiser if you want to.  Some organisers may accept the offer and others may not...it all depends on how they like to operate. Smiley

I've volunteered to angel if needed in swaps that I've participated in many times, especially if it's my crafting forte. Smiley

If you haven't done it already, you can also sign up to get notifications for the angel board so that anytime a new request is posted, you'll be among the first to see it.  Smiley
