Last year, the EMP-Scifi museum here in Seattle hosted an BSG exhibit featuring full size raptors and cyclone spaceships. My husband and I dressed up for the opening day!
I - being Asian is #8/Sharon/Athena, my husband is then Helo. Wink

I am a new member, so I cant post any pictures yet. But I am eager to share this with you all. Wink

More pics here on my blog!

I used a bottom weight Twill /denim and loads of piping, I also specially ordered the original buttons and officer rank pins.  I know there are BSG fans out there, and I would love to hear and see your sets!

So say we all!

Oh thanks and yes!

I have a lessons learned log of best pratices. It was truly a learning expereince to make the 4 patterns for the his and her set. I will copy and paste from my blog when I get home tonight.

I purchased the now discontinued buttons from a friend. I can give you his contact if you PM me.
The patches and pins I purchased from amazon.com

I did a lot of research on the pipings and pins, I couldn't believe the level of sophication that went into the show.

I went and saw the exhibit last year on Halloween weekend. Nice job on the costumes, trying to get better at sewing so I can make cool stuff like you did.

To clarify, the exhibit is still there until March 2012, I finally went a few weeks ago when they did a panel with the costumer design team. It was awesome. Anyway, you guys look awesome! I've considered it over the years but just don't have the patience for all that piping. I bow to your awesomeness.

Craft till it hurts.

Great job! I love Athena and Helo so much.

I dream of a house covered with your art, and would love a personal swap. Pm me if you'd like to spread the crafty love! I also need blue fabric scraps for a scrap quilt!
