Closer look

To make the curly bits, I cut Popsicle sticks into strips, soaked them in water overnight to make them pliable and than wrapped them around various jars, cans, pens, Russian stacking dolls, anything really. After drying overnight I unwrapped my curly Popsicle sticks.

I had a cheap plastic mask that I covered with fun paper and placed my sticks. Oh I guess I painted them first. After everything was placed it was missing something so I pulled out the glitter and pom poms. The mask is edged with pipe cleaners and the stick holding it is Popsicle sticks as well.

I hope you like it.

very cool!  The technique to bend the popsicle sticks you used is sort of the same technique they used to use to make barrels :-)  Your mask is lovely!
