I decided to base my entry on the book: Griffin and Sabine by Nick Bantock. This book is an epistolary novel where the story is told through letters and postcards. The artwork is collage based.

Griffin is an artist with his own card company Gryphon Cards. Sabine is also an artist who illustrates postage stamps for the collection of small Pacific islands she lives on. (Plot summary ends, no spoilers).

I love this book and I had been wanting to do something more mixed media based and this is my first attempt. I scanned Griffin and Sabine's "signatures" and printed them on vellum. I also scanned and resized a background image of a letter in an envelope and an example of Sabine's postage stamp art. I had a custom made stamp made with a gryphon for Griffin's company. It is in a 30mm bezel frame with a glass dome cabochon on top. The completed bezel was then glued to a silver plated cuff bracelet blank.

Comments and criticisms are welcome Smiley I really enjoyed making this bracelet. ( I just wish my photography would show how awesome it looks!)

This is lovely!  I've wanted to play with cabochons myself, but I'm not really skilled with mixed media and layering and all that Tongue  You've done a wonderful job with your photography, by the way, clear pictures and a focus on the jewelry itself is what we like to see!

I love your idea of using mixed media in this challenge!  You've totally inspired me to try using cabs in my next project dear!!!
