My SO and I made a friend a Steampunk Time Turner for her birthday.  You know, kinda like the necklace Hermione wore in the POA Harry Potter Movie.  Well, not quite like that, but sorta steampunk style.

The necklace is made mostly with broken clock parts.  The main part of the pendant is a balance wheel still intact.  It animates when moved or with help from a finger.

FYI:  No living clocks were harmed in the making of this necklace.  All parts were from deceased movements and secondhand jewelry.  Wink

Thanks for lookin'.  More info about this necklace and other steampunk items we've made are on the blog here.

Really neat. I love that the balance wheel still animates.

Wow! Awesome job on this, looks so cool.
I've got such a crazy softspot for gears and the steampunk look.

Thanks, guys!

...I love that the balance wheel still animates.

Leaving the wheel so that it moved was my favorite part of this piece, too.

I completely agree.  SP just brings out the tinkering eclectic nerd buried in me.  Smiley

The moving part is a nice touch! Very nice spin on the Harry Potter one!
