Bag made from old military pants!

This was my first attempt at making anything larger than the size of my hand  

My husband had an extra pair of BDU pants laying around that he doesn't wear anymore since switching over to the new Navy uniforms, so I decided to cut them up and make myself a bag! It's not lined because I couldn't figure out how to do that, but it still works for me! The pockets are functional and the back side has functional pockets as well (the normal ones found on the front of pants).

I also attempted to make the Keyka Lou business card wallet and I think it turned out pretty well. It was super easy to make too!

Thank you! I made the wallet from a couple of fat quarter scraps I had laying around.

My friend just snatched all of her husband's old uniforms that he doesn't wear anymore and is going to let me practice making more bags with them. Now if only I could figure out how to line the pants bags lol

Those are pretty COOl!!! I love how you made the purse out of old uniforms great job!! I love your business card wallet too, love the colors.
To line your bag, just make another bag like you did & put the linging bag into the outside bag wrong sides together & fold over the top 1/4" to 1/2 " of the lining, pin all around the top then sew by machine or by hand. It should work, if you want a pocket put it on before you put the linging together. Hope that helps. Good luck & would love to see the next ones you make. If you need more help just ask.

Oh your welcome. I like to see what you do when you get done with it. I really do like the recycle camouflage pants you use to make the Bag. Good design!!

Yeah I have a couple of things that someone made for me that are out of my hubbys uniforms, but I decided it was best to learn how to make them on my own rather than spend $60-70 on it somewhere else.
