I am gathering everything that I think may be interesting and useful for my item.  And recently added some stuff I forgot/didn't know I had while going through some random boxes  Cheesy I also need to decide on my base color and get some paint.

I'm pondering how to drill a hole in a piece of metal without a drill. I might have to scrap that component since I can't just wrap wire around it and expect it to stay properly  Undecided

Hammer and a nail works.  Just hammer it on a piece of wood

sounds like you've been busy, roniwink! =]  And having fun, with the project, anyway.  Sorry to hear about the weather...and is the flooding down there nearby??  I hope not! We are in sandy area and the water drains right off.  But we've had enough wind to keep the chimes busy... Wink

Luckily I'm not near any large bodies of water, but there are a lot of problems with flooding closer to St. Louis.  We actually had a sunny day today!!!  AND we're supposed to get 3 days in a row without rain Sun-Tuesday, that will be the longest stretch without rain in over a month.  My sister-in-law has forgotten about be, I am going to have to harass her this week and get my project finished.

I've got things to take care of today, but hope to spend the weekend working on my project rain or shine...=]  The last project went pretty easily as I laid out things on table and had a work area(right in the kitchen) and put the things I was done with on the counter.  This one I want to be more than a decoration...and make sure it makes sounds...=]  I know that is what my partner is working towards, too.  But I'm happy even if it doesn't, cause it will be a crafty creation ShE made for me....=] *SwEEt!!*

Inspiration hit. I finally found something to use for a base-something I'd had all along and forgotten about! Last night I went from having a random assemblage of collected parts to be 80-90% done!
I still have to hang it up, make sure it actually SOUNDS good, go over the ends, and fuss over it. Heh, I went to find a way to cover it up last night, so kitty wouldn't leap up and attack it (hanging on the wall so I could work on it) and the random cardboard box I picked up was the perfect size. Sonofagun, I even have a shipping box.

I'm almost there! Just have to find a good way to pack it up for it's journey now. At least it's not travelling too far!
