But yet more great packages!

I have received from Camelama today and I laughed all the while I was unpacking it.  I love it all!!  Thank you so much!!  

ok a little background...  I have chickens...lots of chickens, even have a new flock of peeps in my basement for the next few months as they grow.  She also stalked me very well by reading my blog and picking up on the fact that I have lots and lots of reading glasses laying around.  

Here is my loot, most are vintage patterns that she used:

Averia--I originally intended the bag to be a project bag, but it made such a cute little purse I decided you could use it however you wanted--which I would have told you if I had remembered to include a note .  It should hold up to a 6" hoop if you want to use it for that.   I'm so glad you liked everything.  It was really fun to make. I think it's funny we both used fabrics that were blue and brown and green and we both included embroidered hoops.  I think I am going to have to make one of those scissor and needle keepers for myself.  I'm always losing my scissors in my purse, and I use storks, so I poke myself alot.

I'm glad you like everything, I had such a great time being your partner.

Such awesome packages posted today! I love the entire embroidery themed package! I believe I need one of everything please! The kitchen stuff is awesome. And the chickens!! Love them! It kinda reminds me of my grandma (in a good way) cause she used to collect chicken stuff.

It would be hilarious if you posted a pic of a chicken in the apron! Love all the fabric choices too! Good job everyone!!

WOW that got there fast, Sew!!!

FYI, the chicken potholder was from a 1954 pattern, but I found this 60's pattern online that is almost exactly like it:

In the 1954 pattern they say to "perch it perkily on top of a yellow plastic scrubbie, to simulate a hen on her chicks!".  Finding only BLUE scrubbies (what a strange chick that would have been!), I perched Sew's on top of a box of PEEPS.     And I saw a bag of EDIBLE easter grass at the store when I picked up the Cadbury Eggs, so had to toss that in too just for laughs.

His tail is a little emory (sp?) strawberry, inside.

Oh! And the dish soap apron made me laugh out loud when a friend sent me a link to a 50's vintage pattern online, saying "MAKE THIS FOR YOUR PARTNER!".   So I had to make it.

just search for "dish soap apron" and you'll see 'em all over.  WHO KNEW?!?!?!


The loop on yours is kind of long, Sew, you might need to knot it. But I wasn't sure what kind of bottle you might have to use it on.

And um.  Guess it's better that it's long, if you're going to PUT IT ON A CHICKEN!!!!!!!

I used to see those dish soap aprons at EVERY craft fair in the early 90s.  But back then they were all flowery and lacey and its nice to see a comeback that looks better!

All of the packages posted today are awesome..but... not as AWESOME as mine!

I received the most amazing package from onegroovyday today!  Get ready to look at some terrific stuff and have your pinterest / wist buttons ready!
Let me first start by saying that my craftroom is cream and mauve and I am planning on a redo this summer and my colors will be tan and teal! I DID NOT tell anyone this and look what colors she sent me!!!

I have had her bowls on my wist for a long time and here now I have one!

Is this little guy just not the cutest thing EVER?

 Now here is a really cool bookmark made out of ribbon then it is stiffened with something, same with this cute little bowl, teal buttons all the way around it and if you look really close it is all of the last bits of fabric. A keyring with a J embroidered on it, the wallet shape has a pad of paper inside it. The “imagine” bird is the cutest needle book EVER!!! Look at this pin cushion with the sewing machine on it and it is weighted with something.
