My daughter was very excited about April Fool's Day this year so my hubby and I made up this little pizza for her and her classmates.  It's not an original idea, but we had fun amd made a few little changes so I thought I'd share...
pizza dough: sugar cookie--> chocolate chip
tomato sauce: strawberry jam --> nothing
cheese: white chocolate
pepperoni: fruit roll

We used 2 packages of chocolate chip mix and baked it for 25 minutes.  After it cooled we added the "cheese" and "pepperoni".  We lucked out and found the perfect

and the awesome fruit we used

The kids were tickled.  And they loved the cookie!  I didn't put on the strawberry jam because some of the kids might not like strawberry, plus it makes the cookie soggy.  Also the "cheese" and "pepperoni" is easier to take off since they aren't glued down.  We used a chocolate chip base because who doesn't love chocolate.

Thanks and enjoy!!  Happy April Fool's Day!!

I love this.  My son is April Fools crazy.  I think at this point it's his favorite day.  I wish I'd have seen this idea sooner!  I hope to remember it next year!

This is so cute!! My mom did this once as a take-to-school birthday snack, and all of her "toppings" were frosting. Using the fruit roll-ups is GENIUS!!

Hehe, thanks for the love gals!  It was really fun!  Lana and her friends were still excited about it at the end of the school day.  Apparently they told all their friends and teachers and there was a buzz around it at the school.  Smiley
If any of you attempt to make it we used a very large cookie sheet and reshaped it as it cooked since the edges tend to spread as it bakes.  It would have been nice to have a huge 14" round, but alas we had none.  My hubby kept worrying that the cookie wouldn't fit.  I'm usually pretty good at eyeballing stuff.  Luckily it worked out!
