I have somewhat successfully cut a few bottles, but what I am looking for now is a way to preserve the label on the bottle. Any ideas out there?

What will be the intended purpose of the bottles once cut? This will help in giving the answer since we do not know if you will be using them for water, dry or whatever else. Smiley

We used a airplane grade varnish my husband got from work and painted it on over the label with a small overlap on the glass bottle.  We use it the bottle with the varnished label for olive oil and haven't had an issue with the oil breaking it down or ruining it and it's been 1 year.  We don't wash it, only a quick wipe with a damp cloth to wipe off excess oil.

I don't think airplane grade varnish is something anyone can get but I bet boat hull varnish is the closest in quality.

Hope it works!
