Birdie Sling - Help needed with the gusset plse

I am half way through makin gmy first birdie sling - I have come to the part where you make the gusset on the external fabric adn I just can't get me head around it, the picture on the pattern isn't helping me any either - I wonder if any of you can make it any clearer or point my in the direction of some clearer instructions.

You're so welcome.  The Birdie Sling is one of my favorite bags to make, but I remember being confused by the instructions initially. Glad these links helped.
