(April Fool's Day) The Art of ATCs

Class Size:  100 participants

Class Description:
If you’re getting bored of making one or two ATC’s at a time then this is the class for you! We will be making mass produced artwork as a group, and then trading the artwork we’ve created.  You will make and trade 100 ATCs. We’re thrilled to be in the barn space for this class so we can work round our custom made round-table. At the end of the class we will be trading all of the artwork produced in the class. The exchange of cards person-to-person makes this class unmissable!

Each person is required to make 100 ATCs, so you will need to work methodically to get this work done in the required time limit. You will be given a minute for each background. Don’t worry, a bell will sound after each minute to let you know to move on to the next one, so you know you’re on track.

Once you have your pile of backgrounds completed we’ll move on to the details. Using all of your paper bits, pens and pencils we’ll be adding personality to the cards. There will be set themes for every set of 10 cards, so please ensure your papers and ephemera fit the themes. Again, this section will be timed so you’ll always know you’re keeping up.

In order, the themes we’ll be working on are;
1. Ghastly clowns
2. Insects and creepy crawlies
3. Stickers and rub-ons
4. Arms and legs
5. Transport
6. Fashion
7. Disney
8. Football
9. Monochrome
10. Steampunk

Afternoon session:
At 13:00 sharp we’ll commence trading.  Every 5 minutes we’ll change partners to allow you to look at and pick which cards you’d like to trade. The time will be marked by a bell and you rotate around the table. No loitering longer than 5 minutes.

Cost: $100

What to bring:
100 pieces of 2 ½ X 3 ½ inch or 64 X 89 mm card stock. Sizing must be exact.
Set of watercolour paints
Ink pens
Pencils
Scissors
Glue
Brushes
Water container & bottle of water
Papers and ephemera for collaging (to suit the 10 themes)

Book early to avoid disappointment. This is sure to be a popular course!

Oh, I'm so glad there'll be a bell; I've got a poor sense of timing sometimes!  I can't wait until this gets started!

I really like the clown theme. Is it possible to expand on that, i.e. have "creepy crawlies on clowns", "clown stickers and rub-ons", "arms and legs of clowns", etc?

I wish that the farm was opening for business earlier! I'm in the APRIL ATC swap! If only i'd know about this class sooner, I would have just waited for the October round!

I only have pieces of paper that are 2 4/7" x 4 3/5".  Will that work?
