There is a section, near the middle, where I juggle balls of yarn!

Alas, the real story:

- the recent archaeological digs that reveal the origins of this esteemed craft
There are no illuminating archaeological digs that I know of; the true beginnings of our favourite craft will remain that of educated guesswork.

- the story of how it originally came to Europe (you'll be surprised! Let's just say it involves one heck of a misunderstanding!)
Guesswork aside, we're still fairly certain this started in Europe.

- what inspired Nikola Tesla to invent the first crochet machine, and how Thomas Edison tried to steal the design
There is no such thing as a crochet machine.  If you do a Google search, many will come up, but they are either knitting machines or weaving machines that are set up to mimic crochet... but they don't actually crochet.  On the other hand, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Tesla *had* invented one and Edison stole it or burned it... they just had that sort of relationship.

- the Greek origins of the word "crochet"
And of course, "crochet" is a French word that means "hook" (of all things).  Well, unless you believe the dad on My Big Fat Greek Wedding, then of course it's really from the Greek!

Happy April Fool's Day!
