I almost slapped a mature image on that pic before I realized what it was...sorry, I forgot my bifocals today...

I am not interested in the history of crochet since I knit, but I am interested in crochet...will we be able to just audit the class from the back of the room?

I mean, without paying?

Are you sure of that photo? It looks more like the caveman had a chainsaw than a crochet hook.

Will you be covering knitting vs crochet upperclass vs working class debates of the 1920s?

ooh I hope so! That's my favorite era in the debate!

MareMare - I love your avatar! Is that your duck? Or perhaps your cat?

Yep, that's my duckie on top of my cat!

I decided not to cover knitting at all as it has had absolutely no influence on crochet.  Perhaps it could be in the follow-up class, History of Not Crochet!  Excellent suggestion, Val!
I found that a little rude! I just want to let you know I reported you to the crochet moderator.

Good luck with that. I've already bribed her with a life time supply of yarn. Tongue

Sorry. Sad

Could always sit in the front of the class and not pay?

Will you be evaluating crochet history books?

That reminds me, I was going to post excerpts from the class throughout the day.  I'll start with this one, then...

"... when it comes to previously printed crochet history books, of which there are many, you should keep in mind this one, startling fact: everything you know is wrong.  That's right!  Recent archaeological digs have shown us proof that the history of crochet as we knew it has been fabricated entirely by Big Wool.  We have no proof that Big Wool did this for nefarious purposes, and so we are forced to conclude that they have..."
