Congrats on round 1, A2K!

I think AQ decided to be a hunter/trapper/Davy Crockett character.  She found a suede jacket with fringe and a pair of snowshoes the last time I saw her, and was on the search for a coonskin cap. Cheesy
I forgot to mention weeks ago that I had a dream in which I hadn't checked the STS discussion thread in a long time, and when I went back to read through it I learned that atsuko and Lana were going to be visiting my small hometown, and that day was already the last day of their visit, so at like 6am I started driving up and down the main street with the windows down, shouting atsuko's full name at the top of my lungs in hopes she would hear me if they were still there.  Smiley I did find them at a park, but the highlight of the dream was hanging out the car window bellowing for her in the early morning silence.

Just so you all know, I made raeraethejetplane learn how to handspin when we met up!  Grin Another convert!

That cute baby-turban makes me imagine a fortune teller Halloween costume, or maybe a genie-in-the-lamp costume for a baby who isn't walking yet -- with a long white nightgown that's closed at the bottom with a brass lamp glued to it.  Smiley

I've wanted to learn to spin for so long! Thanks again Smiley Wonder if I can spin and make some one else wash it :p

That genie in a bottle costume sounds like the greatest baby costume I have heard in a long while.

Anyone know how to make one of these adjustable ring slings for baby wearing? I am in dire need of one and both can't figure it out and don't have the time. I have the rings.

Anyone NEED one?
No for the turban, but yes for the baby.  I have points.  Smiley

Yay!  How fun!  Thanks for having a dream about us Calluna.  I wish I could have a crafty dream.  I keep having odd dreams about homework assignments which is nuts because it's been nearly 25 years since I was in h.s.

Been washing fabrics to make a few simple skirts for Lana.  Smiley  I'm excited.  Lana is busy making my lunch.  Hehe.  It's nice to have a little helper.

DSR, this is not the ring sling, but I made one of these similar to this video years ago when Owen was a baby and going though a growth spurt. I was desperate, and used fabric I had around the house. It was really quick to make. The important thing is making sure you have measured precisely where you want Han to be. She explains how to measure in the video. The ring sling is nicer, but this kind will work, too. It saved my sanity. Smiley

I found one on her site that looks like something I can do for the adjustable. I have rings someone gave me so I wanna make sure I use them and they don't get into the I'm-gonna-do-SOMEDAY pile. I would totally love some batik fabric to make it with Wink Unless someone wants to make it for me Cheesy

Would anyone be interested in rainbow felted headbands?

I started experimenting with the rainbow fiber ptarmic wumpus bestowed on me, and made this sample headband with a soft, stretchy fabric for the bottom portion (though I could just as easily use regular elastic). I'd offer them as 1-point customs, so they can be the exact size you want. (with the rainbow shorter/longer/thinner/wider)
