Front of the card:

Inside of the card:

I decided this year on Valentine's Day to express my geekly love in the form of a hand stitched card.  I'm not a paper crafter and I've never stitched on cards before, but I've seen some of the cool things people have posted here, so I decided to just wing it.  (I've since seen there are plenty of instructions out there and some even in the books I have in my own collection...I could have saved myself a lot of mistakes, frustration and possibly my sore fingers!)  Anyway, I wanted it to look like a hand written love note, so instead of using a computer font, I just wrote the words out by hand in pencil and then stitched over them. In the end, despite the paper not staying down the way I wanted it to and the glue making the multiple layers of paper/cardstock a little wonky, I was happy how it turned it and I learned a lot for next time.  My husband loved it too...I guess we're two peas in a geeky little pod!

Yay! Maybe that should be the next phrase I stitch!

Now that I've actually read a little about stitching on cards, next time I hope I'll avoid making some of the mistakes I made this time and can do some more complicated stitching.
