We went to MegaCon last weekend and my guys (husband and friend/roommate) wore the same costumes from the Star Wars Con, except I made them some robes to add on with and I made myself an all new costume- Barriss Offee.  I was overwhelmed with the response, I couldn't believe how many people knew who I was (being a lesser known Jedi).  Anyway, I spent many many MANY hours just engineering the construction of my cloak and my skirt & shirt were done with very strategically chosen patterns that I think worked out perfectly.  I did my belt buckle with fimo & paint.  Eye liner for my diamonds and though the photos don't show it, I used green eye shadow to tinge all visible skin.  Oh!  and the cloak... I couldn't find the right print for it so I bought something nice in the right color and hand drew the design on... all... 60 inches wide... by 7... yards... length...  Tongue  I'm glad I went for it though, I think it made all the difference.  Ok, enough rambling:

Here's a pic showing a comparison between me (left) and the movie Barriss & her buckle (right)

and here's the 3 of us getting photographed by multiple people, but it shows my friend's costume pretty good (the Sith Warrior).  Hubby was Obi.

It was a great con, we had a blast!
