First sewing adventure.

Frumpy brown sweater into wobbly bolero. Hubby said 'it needs fancying up' any ideas? Smiley

Add some buttons.
A row on each side, think that would look pretty nice

I did a line of hand stitching around the neck and down the front on each side.
I used a big darning needle and some cream coloured 'feather wool', then I took the needle and teased up the feathery bits.
It looks a bit rough but definitely has added a contrast and has broken up the whole lot of brown.

Well, I've done all of the household mending and am hoping to attack another old sweater today. This one is a little more difficult, it has a large turtle neck.

When I was searching for the bubble wrap I had stored away for my dummy, I found a large quantity of cream and dusty pink faux fur hidden in the cupboard. Could be time to make a collar or little shrug... or both! Just need some satin to line them :/

It is easy peasy, take the scissors and SNIP! (Dont forget to put in some control stitching first if you're using a knit  Wink )

I went to Mum's yesterday and she gave me a handful of vintage zippers, all unused and totally WOW colours (yay for the 60s) AND she gave me a bag FULL of patterns, all from the 60s-70s. I just had to go to the shop and buy 4m of fabric! I have no idea what I want to do with it though!

Ooooh... can we see the "fancied up" version of the bolero?
It's really cute, btw. I'm totally excited to see what else you make. Smiley
