Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help me out.

I really wanna try to make a costume of Beatrix from FF9 for a convention this summer.

However... the main (very crucial) part of the costume, the white tunic/ coat, is confusing me. I've seen one for sale on ebay but frankly I can't afford almost $50 just for shipping.

Does anyon know of a pattern for something similar or that could be modified to work?

It seems like this one could do for starters. I'm not sure if the back has a pleat or not but modifying it to look like coat tails doesn't seem like it would be too hard. You would also have to raise the armhole to make it sleeveless...and you may want to get a pattern making/altering book from the library to help with that and the collar. It may also be worth it to  save up to buy the one off ebay - it will be alot of work to make this pattern if you have never done this sort of thing before! Wink
