I cross stitched a design onto some aida cloth, and now im looking into ways to finish it. I want to attach it to a tote bag(not sure yet if im buying or making), but I'm not sure what the best way to go about that is. The concern is having a finished edge of some sort so it looks clean and wont continue to fray, and I guess I would sew it to the bag like a patch maybe...

I may be overthinking this, its probably much simpler than im making it in my head, but has anyone done this before and do you have any tips?

Thanks!

I've done this before and I cut the design out leaving approx 1/2 of a square around the design. Then I coat the edge with Dritz Fray Check. Then I use iron on Heat and Bond to attach it to the fabric.
