Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

I received a WONDERFUL parcel a couple of days ago but we have been away with my son's 2nd Birthday so I'm just getting to putting up photos now...

Thank you so so much Muddy21, these are so so expensive over here... The parcel you sent me would have cost over $70 here in Australia (and that figure is based on the colour canvas costing the same as the clear and downloading the patternbook online)

You really did spoil me, I can't wait to get stuck into building my village LOL...

Muddy21 sent me 4 clear, 2 brown, 2 dark brown full sized plastic canvas sheets, a packet of small 3" circles, 4 9" circles. 3 plastic canvas needles and a mini village pattern book.

I really can't thank you enough for such a WONDERFUL WONDERFUL parcel... Thank you so so much

Okay, I'm sorry for being such a lame-o and not posting pics, but I have gotten three great packages in the mail in the last week!

First off, DesignVigilante claimed me for a learn to crochet kit!

She emailed me insanely detailed PDF instructions with tons of pictures and reading recommendations and a glossary...two samples of the stitches she taught me with the instructions, hot pink yarn that is SO me, a crochet hook, and she also made me a (I don't know what we're calling these) slouchy tobogan you can pull your ponytail through off my wist!  (I can never have too many of these, AND the colors match the gloves BF bought me, so it's perfect for next winter!)

Thank you DesignVigilante!!!

I also received from StephanieGravatt, my fave NYC-lover!

She claimed me for a wisty surprise, and she totally surprised me!  I never guessed what she was making me!

She made me the hiding kitty bag!  I've had this guy on my wist forever...I love him so!  He is the perfect size, with that big front pocket, to be my "project bag" now that I am going to learn to crochet - so well-timed, it's great!

BF decided we needed a picture of the cat wearing the bag like a cape...so here it is:

Thank you StephanieGravatt!

And then today I received from padfoot!  She nailed me again, just like she always does!

She claimed me for a wisty surprise, but I couldn't figure it out from the tiny box on my step...(it was a granola bar box inside out - way to recycle!)

Inside were so many tiny happy joys:

Ami peacock, ami angry birds, and a tiny hoopla!

The funny thing is that I had put the ami angry birds on my wist to give as a gift to my step-mom.  Then last week, BF FINALLY got a new phone, a droid, and I DLed angry birds just to see what all the fuss was about...and now we're both hooked.  So these are ours.   Grin  I'll leave them on my wist for someone else to possibly make for my step-mom, LoL

And the hoopla is based off a shirt from my wist!  I just loved the saying, it made me giggle!

I love it all so much.
Thank you padfoot!
