Hi there New Yorkers,

I'm a New Zealander (just like Flight of the Concords - in fact I'm from the same city!) and my partner and I are soon moving to the UK. Via a trip through the US and one of our stops is going to be New York which I am SO excited about.

I was just wondering if any of you locals has advince in regards to cool local crafty happening - such as cool craft shops, markets...I would LOVE to do some sort of workshop when I was over there - can you suggest any stores that have workshops? Maybe a beading class or something?

Also one last thing - any suggestions on great places to shop for vintage clothes?

All responses are greatly appreciated!

PPS - any suggestions on where to get great vegetarian food also appreciated:)
