I've asked the seller what kind of stitch or pattern this is, but sadly, no reply. I was told it was a variation on the "Pineapple" pattern, but it looks nothing like that. Not even close. I've been looking everywhere and searching the internet.

I know the crochet community on Craftster is a force to be reckoned with, do any of you amazing craftsters know what this is? Or how it can be accomplished?

Ah, that's a fan stitch of some kind. Very pretty! Someone was asking about repro-ing an Anthro shawl that was similar, and I gave her a bunch of links. *Off to find that thread*

Some of those links are very similar to what you want. It's possible the seller didn't want to give away their secret recipe for fear you'd compete for sales, or perhaps they'd rather you just buy from them. Gotta say those are niiiice yarns they use.
