My husband had a birthday today and what better way to show my love than to make him a heart shaped cake! And lungs, and a liver, kidneys, intestines, stomach, etc.

This lovely little beauty is about actual human torso size. It consists of dark chocolate cake, vanilla butter-cream, and vanilla marshmallow fondant with a nice bloody drizzle of a cherry and raspberry gel 'filling'. The ribs are piped white chocolate.

The intestine is really pretty gross, it's filled with a cake-pop mixture which is crumbled cake and frosting mixed together to make a paste. Very disgusting and I'm sure you get what it's supposed to be lol.

An extra set of hands is essential, so my brother lunatekk was key in making this one happen!

Before the gore... (Which I think I prefer the look of, I was sad to cover it with blood lol)

This cake was inspired by one I found online.

I really like both. The gore really brings a "fresh kill" feel to it though. the detail is outstanding and I love that you filled the intestine.

Thank you! Smiley

I think the best part was serving it with hands lol. And watching my 4 and 5 year old boys so excited to eat zombie cake like good little cannibal children.
