I love Modcloth.com. They have the greatest styles, but alas, they don't make things for us plus size gals. So how disappointed I was when I saw this AMAZING teal, ruffly dress. I wanted it so much. But then I remember that I bought some jersey material on clearance that was almost the exact same color! I didn't have enough to make a dress, but I did have enough to make a shirt!

My Version:

The Original

(The pic of me is a little funky because I didn't have anyone to take it for me, lol)

Even though it's not exact, I'm really happy with how it turned out! As I said, I used a jersey type material instead of chiffon. For the bodice, I used Butterick 5454. The ruffles and the bottom, I made up myself. I did put the bow on it, but I have it tying the back because it looks better that way on me.

Now, I just have to wait til the **5inches of snow** (how mad I am about that!) melts aways so I can wear it!

That dress is great, and your shirt is a perfect interpretation of it.  Also, at first, I did not think you were wearing pants.

Sorry for being such a flake. Sad

Oh wow, I love it when a vision comes to life like that.  ROCKS!

If you can't do it with duck tape...it can't be done!

That is a fantastic dress and I love your interpretation of it.  It is really flattering and the ruffles are too cute!  I love everything on modcloth but find its too expensive with shipping to the uk so I am restricted to staring and sighing heehee
