I'd had this in my stash for ages but only recently I had a few ideas on how to make it over, again it's part of my refashion series called Hand-Me-Down Horrors where I take unloved clothing and (fingers crossed) make it good.

So I hacked off the sleeves, shortened it a ton, added a button front closure to make themost of the vertical stripes in the bust area and made some flutter sleeves from the old sleeves, oh and the button loops came from the bottom of the old sleeves so even less work for me to do!

Unloved before shot

Hope you like it, feel free to check out my blog for other refashions and some tutorials too.

This is so very pretty! I actually have seen similarly-shaped garments in the shops and always drool over their feminine-type appeal. Needless to say, I am only a 'window shopper' as I am broke, LOL. I am so pleased to see that you repurposed a MUMU.

Sidenote: I have an aunt who has an entire closet full of them. I love all the colours and the prints in them but HATE their lack-luster shapes. Then again, isn't that the point of a MUMU?

What you did with this baby is very nice. Now you must ask yourself... what to do with all that LEFOVER MUMU? BWAHAHAHHAHAAAAAaaaaaaaa!
