This is my first post on this lovely message board.

This is a great idea by the way.

Anyway, here are pictures of my most recent completed project.

A bathrobe I altered for my boy for valentine's day:

That is really fun!

Your stiching is beautiful, so neat & even... I don't think my hand stiching will ever look nice!!

Seasick Sarah had a golden nose
Hobnail boots wrapped 'round her toes
When she turned blue all the angels screamed
They didn't know they couldn't make a scene.

She had to run, run, run run, run.

Oh, I really like how you made the bat! Thats really really cute!
But Im wondering how the felt behaves in the washing machine? Cause I was thinking about making some t-shirts with felt-patches on it but I m afraid the felt could possibly come undone somehow or make the whole wash linty?

I posted this suggestion somewhere else - can't remember now where... You can use polar fleece instead of felt. It seems to wash just fine. Occasionally you get pilling, but you can look for "pill-free" fleece. Bottom line - it won't come apart in the wash and it's just as easy to work with as felt.

Thanks everyone!

I figure he won't really need to wash the bathrobe that often, considering he's only going to wear it right out of the shower.

The green is felt and the black is fleece.

I love it!  It looks so professional!  But be careful though, because I sewed felt onto a shirt and then after wearing it a few times I wanted to change it.  When I took it off, it left a colored stain underneath it.
